So, we thought we’d help you out by showing you some of our favorite bakeries in Taos NM. Here’s some to check out!
Bread Club Taos
Pick up organic bread and delightful pastries. It’s right next to a really good coffee shop, too, so you can combine them into the best light breakfast. It’s also known for its delightful toasts, and not just avocado. You can get gravlox, mayak (egg, serrano and jalapenos) and egg sando. Or just get some bread – blue cornmeal sourdough? Quinoa buckwheat? Hatch green chile cheddar? They have fantastic scones and pastries. They open Thursday through Monday until 3pm…or until sold out, which happens a lot!
Tomorrow and Tomorrow
They’re right there – strategically positioned at the entrance to the plaza district to catch everyone who goes past. It’s very simple – they specialize in sourdough bread, which this part of New Mexico is known for – and good coffee. We love Tomorrow and Tomorrow for their bagels too…you can’t often get organic sourdough bagels, and you can get them with cream cheese, lox, or local jam. Or pick up a baguette for later.
KOKO
KOKO is where we recommend you go to satisfy your sweet tooth. You can get all kinds of pies (and all are available with a gluten free crust), cakes, and pastries. Stop in for a specialty croissant, the daily mini tarts or scones, or handmade donuts. The list goes on. How about a sticky toffee pudding muffin? And yes, you can get a lot of the stuff gluten free too. Get some cookies to take with you. You can also raid their grab and go for burritos and sandwiches. It’s a great place if you’re on the go all day.
